Advantage Kills Fleas!
Advantage is a topical solution that kills 98-100 percent of
adult fleas within 12 hours of application. Advantage kills fleas before they have a
chance to lay eggs -- and with no eggs, there are no larvae, therefore breaking the flea
life cycle. Additionally, fleas that jump on a treated pet are killed within two hours.
One convenient treatment lasts one month. Advantage is usually available only exclusively
through veterinarians, but we carry it at much lower prices.
Advantage Topical Flea
Treatment for Dogs, Cats, Puppies, Kittens
Applied to the back of the neck on cats and between the shoulder blades on dogs, the
topical solution spreads naturally on the skin surface at the hair follicle level, aided
by body movement. Advantage continues to kill fleas even after a shampooing, swimming,
rain or exposure to sunlight. In fact, a controlled study showed dogs treated with
Advantage, immersed in water and then re-infested with new fleas weekly for one month
still had approximately 90 percent of their fleas killed at day 28. In another study, dogs
were shampooed four days after treatment and then re-infested with fleas. Again at day 28
of the 30-day study, Advantage was still killing 92 percent of the fleas.
Advantage is best used in conjunction with a long-lasting insect growth regulator like Flea Fix and an effective residual flea
adulticide used in areas where pets frequent.
Advantage products do not control ticks. For flea and tick control
on dogs, see
K9 Advantix for dogs.
Advantage comes in several sizes, each with four
tubes lasting up to four months. Cannot be
shipped to Alaska.
