Carpenter Ant Baits

Use carpenter ant baits in attics, crawl spaces, beneath cabinets and around the foundation of buildings where these ants are seen foraging. After eliminating colonies with your ant bait, spray the exterior of the building with a professional insecticide spray on a regular basis. This spray will keep the infestation from returning. There are several ant baits labeled for carpenter ant elimination; Maxforce Carpenter Ant Bait Gel and Advance Carpenter Ant Bait are the best to be used in combination or separately.
While killing carpenter ants or other ants with baits indoors, you can use a good spray outdoors. Do not combine a bait and a spray in the same areas as this will render your ant bait ineffective.

To eliminate light infestations of carpenter ants, use a professional insecticide that will give you a long residual. Longer residual products equate to spraying less often. Suspend SC, Demon WP, Cynoff WP and other Cypermethrin products will give good control and prevention of many household insect pests, including carpenter ants.

An insecticide dust is an excellent tool to use for eliminating or preventing carpenter ant infestations in wall voids, crawl spaces and attics. There are several insecticide dusts to choose from. Drione Dust works well in a dry environment, but Delta Dust is the best where there is any sign of moisture. Delta Dust is a synthetic pyrethroid insecticide dust (containing Deltamethrin) that is water proof. Either dust will work well when used alone or in conjunction with Suspend SC or other professional spray.
