General Information for Catalyst Insecticide
Catalyst is no longer available. If you need to treat for general purpose pests in a home or business, choose from the following:

For fleas, ticks, ants, roaches, spiders, carpet beetles, pantry pests and other pests in and around your home use Suspend SC.

For general purpose use (all pests except fleas, carpet beetles, ticks or broadcast type pests) choose a Cypermethrin product such as Demon Insecticide, Cynoff Insecticide.

For treatment in restaurants or other food handling areas, choose between Suspend SC and Acephate.

Catalyst (a.i. Propetamphos

This product is field proven to be excellent for the elimination of fleas, roaches, ants, silverfish, firebrats, spiders, crickets and other household pests. Ideal for residential and commercial
applications and has excellent compatibility with Gentrol,
Precor, Archer
and Flea Fix . Can be applied as a fine spray
to infested rugs, floor coverings, baseboards and upholstered furniture using your pump up sprayer. Catalyst is water-safe for
carpets, furniture fabric and (when used as directed) is safe to use in homes with
children and pets. Follow label instructions; keep people and pets off treated
surfaces until dry.
Permitted sites of application include but are not limited to homes,
apartment buildings, stores, schools, nursing homes, hospitals and industrial buildings.
Catalyst may also be used in restaurants and other food service
establishments.
Killing Fleas and Ticks Indoors
How to mix and use Catalyst emulsifiable concentrate
To kill fleas or ticks indoors, on carpets, upholstery and baseboards, mix 1 bottle Catalyst to 1 gallon water in your pump up garden sprayer to spray 1,000 to 1,500 square feet. When spraying for fleas, add 1 ounce of Flea Fix IGR or Precor IGR per 1,000 square feet. Entire solution is to be used same day as mixed. For best results, use entire solution within two hours of mixing. Keep pets and people off of all treated surfaces until dry. Repeat application of Catalyst in 7 days. Repeat application of IGR is not necessary for at least 4 months.
Killing Fleas and Ticks Outdoors
To kill fleas and ticks outdoors, mix 1 bottle of Catalyst in Hose End Sprayer for each 2,000 square feet of surface to be treated. For heavy infestations of fleas or ticks, use 1 bottle Catalyst per 1,000 square feet of surface. Keep pets and people off of all treated surfaces until dry. Repeat application of Catalyst in 7 days. In areas where fleas are an on-going problem, add 1 ounce Flea Fix IGR (with Catalyst) per 1,000 square feet.
