Due to Bendiocarb (the active ingredient in Ficam insecticides) losing its registration, there is no more Ficam W or Ficam Plus (insecticide concentrates), Ficam D (insecticide dust) or Ficam G (granular Bendiocarb).
Ficam products had broad labels, covering many different insects and other invertebrate pests, but were used primarily for those hard to kill pests: spiders, scorpions, centipedes, millipedes, carpenter bees and carpenter ants -- just to name a few. If you need to eliminate these types of pests use these alternative products:
Scorpions, centipedes, millipedes, ticks - Talstar liquid concentrate and Demon WP will work; Talstar is best. Both products are odorless and both have a very long residual, giving 2 to 6 months active killing power.
Spiders, carpenter bees, carpenter ants, fleas -- Suspend SC is proving to do an excellent job controlling many pests. This micro-encapsulated liquid concentrate is safe to broadcast on carpets and upholstery for fleas. Suspend SC has no odor, gives 2 to 4 months residual, uses small amounts of active ingredient (Deltamethrin) to kill targeted bugs and is quickly filling the needs of those who have been using Ficam W, Ficam Plus and Catalyst.
