Gourmet Ant Bait Gel Directions

To use Gourmet Ant Bait Gel for the control of ants, make small pea sized placements and thin lines in areas where ants are a problem. Long thin lines allow room for many ants to feed on the bait at a single feeding. Use one to three lines per bait placement. Place your ant bait where ants trail, foraging for food, or where ants have been seen especially on a regular basis. You can place your bait under food cabinets, stoves, sinks, refrigerators, food storage areas, attics, garages, basements, storage areas, closets or other areas where you have seen ants or suspect foraging ants.
You may also place baits on exterior window sills, doorways or other outdoor locations where many ant pests forage for food or where they might try to enter your home.

As outlined above, this bait can be applied to certain areas in small beads or thin lines. For heavy or stubborn infestations or to simply protect your bait from being contaminated by every day cleaning inject the gel formulation inside of Ant Cafe bait stations. The use of the Ant Cafe will also prolong the life of bait that is used outdoors. Bait stations can be placed on window sills (and other such locations) and can also be secured to shrubs or small limbs of trees where ants are suspected of or have been noticed foraging from their colonies.

Gourmet Ant Bait Gel^® has 6% (DOT) as the active ingredient. DOT is less repellent then other Boron based toxicants and is more effective at eliminating both the workers and queens in active ant colonies than many other products. Recent studies show that foraging ants take only 1/4 as much food in gel form as compared to feeding on liquids, therefore, the dose of DOT delivered to the colony is about the same as in a 1-2% liquid bait. Gel baits tend to dry out quickly unless placed in an Ant Cafe, so small placements should not be relied upon for control.
