"Professional Grade Permethrin" is a term we use for Permethrin products that contain at least 36% active ingredients. Our most popular brand of Permethrin is Dragnet, a low odor insecticide that has a very broad label for use in and around homes, on lawns and shrubs as well as treating structures for termites.

Professional Grade Permethrin
(a.i. Permethrin 36.8%): This low odor pyrethroid insecticide is a favorite with professionals and homeowners for general purpose pest control (ticks, fleas, roaches, ants, chiggers) as well as termite control. Permethrin is a very safe emulsifiable concentrate (when used according to the label) that is labeled for use indoors on carpets, outdoors on turf and ornamentals and is also one of the best termiticides on the market.

The high concentration means that very little product is used per
application. For fleas, roaches, ticks, ants and other indoor pests, only 1 to 1.6
ounces of Permethrin is needed per gallon. When treating outdoors for fleas, ticks,
ants, molecrickets, chinch bugs and other insects, 1 ounce of Permethrin will cover 1000
square feet of lawn. Works great in combination with IGRs such as
Archer, Gentrol
and IG Regulator.
Permethrin is available in a quart container and a five quart container.
Most homeowners need the quart size, unless they are treating their home for termites.

When used outdoors (for fleas, ticks , molecrickets, chinch bugs, boxelder bugs or other lawn pests) Permethrin Pro should be applied with a Gilmour Dial-A-Mix sprayer. Indoors, our Chapin sprayer is the best.
Permethrin For Termite Treatment:
Permethrin is available in different sizes and concentrations. In general, the weaker the formulation, the less time it will remain active in the soil. Be sure to treat the entire home for best results unless you are sure there is only a small area which needs to be treated.Consumer Grade Permethrin: (least concentrated and has odor during application) Quart is $34.59 (plus S&H,); mixes with 6 gallons of water, will last 1-2 years, treats 15 linear feet.

(low to no odor during or after application) Approved for broadcast treatment indoors for certain pests such as fleas. Available in 1 quart size and 5 quart size. If you mix 1 quart with 10 gallons of water, it will treat 25 linear feet and last about 5 years. If you mix 1 quart with 20 gallons of water it will treat 50 linear feet and last 2-3 years. 5 quart containers: mix with 50 gallons of water, treats 125 linear feet, lasts about 5 years. If mixed with 100 gallons of water, Professional Permethrin will treat 250 linear feet and the treatment will last 2-3 years.Cannot be shipped to MA, NY, NJ, CT, VT, AK

Dragnet is approved for spraying outdoors and inside homes, but not for spraying directly on animals. Do not apply this product to dogs, cats or other animals. After treated areas are dry, people and pets can safely re-enter properly treated areas. This material is "water-safe" for fabrics and will not harm lawns, carpets, furniture, flooring or pets, when used as directed. Remember to always follow label instructions. Do not treat toys, food, water dishes or other such objects.
