Successful pharaoh ant elimination involves the use of professional ant baits. Indoors you should use ant bait stations, ant bait gel, fine granular bait or a combination of these materials. For exterior perimeter treatment, a granular bait is used for elimination. To keep pharaoh ants (or other ant, insect pests) from re-infesting a structure, a surface spray can be used.
Two key points in choosing pharaoh ant elimination products:

Never use an insecticide spray in the same area where a bait is in use.
Do not use an insecticide spray for existing pharaoh ant populations, as this will actually make the problem worse.

Ant Baits

Fluorguard Ant Bait - This ant bait is in plastic, see-through bait stations. Used in eliminating various ants but is particularly good for fireants and pharaoh ants.

Maxforce FC Ant Bait Stations - A popular bait for large indoor ant infestations.

Maxforce Granular Baits - Maxforce manufactures their granular bait in 2 formulations: Regular and FG. Regular can be used outdoors (especially in damp environments); FG is smaller and can be applied in wall voids, attics and other areas where small ants hide or forage.

Gourmet Ant Bait Gel - This is a boric acid ant bait in gel formulation, with both protein and sugar attractants. Mainly used as an add-on product with professional ant bait stations, giving pharaoh ants multiple choices of food.

Maxforce Ant Killer Gel - A professional gel ant bait that can be used alone or combined with Maxforce Ant Bait Stations or Fluorguard Ant Bait Stations.

Insecticide Concentrates

There are two professional insecticide concentrates that are suggested for long term pharaoh ant control: Suspend SC and Demand CS. Both products are safe to use, odorless and have long residuals. Suspend and Demand are labeled for many different household pest control jobs; Suspend is also labeled for indoor flea applications. Choose the concentrate that best suits your needs.
