In certain commercial settings where food is processed, prepared or served the use of rodent baits and snap traps are prohibited. In these sensitive food prep areas, glue trays are often the only rodent management tool that is acceptable.
The 48R is a plastic tray that is filled with a scented glue for capturing rats and mice. Extra attractants such as pieces of dried dog food, nuts, sunflower seeds, small pieces of candy bar can help to lure your targeted pest to the trap. The special glue used in this trap is deeper and has more holding power than smaller or cardboard backed rodent glue traps. Catchmaster glue contains no poisons or toxic ingredients. This glue is also designed for release of pets or children that accidentally stick to the glue.
Common household vegetable oil will cause the glue to bead up or loose its sticking ability so that the glue can be safely separated from pets or children without causing cuts or tears in skin.

Place trap along walls, beneath pallets or in other sites where rats or mice are known to travel in search of food. For best results, avoid placing glue traps (or any rodent control device) in corners where rodents can easily travel around the trap. Placing traps directly in front of entry or exit holes in walls does not always work as the sudden appearance of the trap tends to frighten Norway Rats and Roof Rats. Mice are curious and less likely to shy away from a new object than rats might be.
